GT World Challenge Europe: Garage 59 and Emil Frey Racing Share Victories at Zandvoort

The GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup delivered intense racing at Circuit Zandvoort for Round 8 of the 2026 season. In Race 1, Thomas Fleming and Louis Prette produced a flawless drive in the #58 Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO to claim both the Gold Cup and overall victory, holding off the #2 Boutsen VDS Porsche 911 GT3 R of Morris Schuring and Dorian Boccolacci by just 0.676 seconds. Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green rounded out the Race 1 podium for Emil Frey Racing in their #69 Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO.

Emil Frey Racing went on to dominate Race 2 as Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green converted their opening-race momentum into a commanding overall victory aboard the #69 Ferrari. Bastian Buus and Ricardo Feller brought the #80 Lionspeed GP Porsche home in second place, 3.7 seconds behind the leader, while Matteo Cairoli and Konsta Lappalainen completed a double podium for Emil Frey Racing by placing third in the sister #14 Ferrari.
